Private Skating Lessons
Private Skating Lessons are available at the George S. Eccles Ice Center. We have, on staff, several talented skating professionals who are qualified to teach all levels of figure skating.
What are the benefits of taking private lessons?
One on one instruction allows for more rapid progression.
Private lessons allow for a more personalized training environment.
A coach can prepare skaters for competitions and special events such as ice shows and exhibitions.
How do I choose a coach?
Read the list of qualifications for each coach.
Observe the coaches at work. Watch each instructor teach and take note of the qualities and teaching techniques that you like. This is a good way to determine which coach will work best with you and your child(ren).
How do I set up private lessons?
Speak with the coach directly to arrange for lessons, by calling or emailing the coach.
Things to remember
Each Ice Time or Freestyle is paid for at the front desk, while private lesson fees are paid directly to the coach.
Skaters do not need to complete all classes in the Learn-to-Skate program to begin private lessons.
Skaters can simultaneously take Learn-to-Skate and private lessons.
