The Eccles Ice Center School Outreach program incorporates standards and objectives from the State of Utah Core Curriculum. These courses are designed to coordinate and enhance instruction already taking place in the classroom.

Teachers and students K-12 can benefit from this educational experience. Classes are held either on Tuesday or Thursday for 1 hour. Please see below for more information.

Cost:
There is no cost to the school to participate in this program.

Times:
Tuesday @ 9:45 AM
Thursday @ 9:45 AM or 10:45 AM

Information:

Schools must provide their transportation to and from the rink. Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled session.

The program will begin with off-ice instruction given by one of the coaches. The class will split up, and a coach will provide a 10-15 minute on-ice lesson. After, students will be given free time to skate for the remainder of the class.

We recommend class sizes no larger than 70. However, if you have larger classes, we can accommodate but the class format and instructional time will be adjusted to handle larger classes.

The rink will provide flyers for the teachers to hand out to their students. These flyers include a two-for-one pass and information regarding other rink programs. Teachers will be asked to complete a questionnaire at the end of the session.
